Many organizations have regulations governing their practices. In most instances it will be appropriate to revert to the original organization for its codes of conduct. There are specific authorities that have legal power to regulate their organizations, (see Regulation by Professional Bodies). Press Regulation is affected by both codes of conduct and by civil and criminal legislation.
